I’m feeling really overwhelmed right now. I’ve been jumping from job to job, trying to gain experience, but none of it seems to be in high demand. Currently, I’m working part-time as a server at a local pub, and it’s just not enough to provide for my child. As a single income family, I’m barely making ends meet and I’m ineligible for assistance because I make just a bit too much. I have reasonable experience in clerical work and bookkeeping, but I’m struggling to find remote job opportunities that fit my situation, especially since I recently moved to a small town with harsh winters and no transportation. I feel like I’m starting from scratch and it’s really scary. All I want is to give my child a better life and ensure she’s not ashamed of me.
