I have about 2 years of experience in Python and AI, and I'm currently struggling to convert interviews into job offers. At 20, I’m eager to break into AI/ML, Applied AI, GenAI, or LLM engineering roles. My background includes working with Python, FastAPI, REST APIs, LLM applications, RAG, AI agents, AWS, Docker, SQL, and backend development. I’ve also built projects focused on LLM applications and AI-assisted developer tools. Currently, I work from 2 PM to 11 PM and I’m looking for a position with better pay and a more manageable schedule. Recently, I went through two hiring processes. In the first one, I was referred internally, completed an online assessment, and had an interview. I felt confident about my performance, but I was rejected without any feedback. In the second process, I had an initial interview after a recruiter call, but I haven't heard back since following up. It’s frustrating because I’m getting interviews but no offers. I’m applying widely, reaching out to recruiters, using referrals, and applying through various platforms like LinkedIn and company career pages. I’m trying to figure out what the issue might be. Could it be my resume, targeting roles that are too advanced for my experience, my performance in technical interviews, or perhaps my projects aren’t impressive enough? I’m also questioning my communication skills during interviews. I would appreciate any blunt feedback from recruiters or hiring managers about what might be holding me back. If it helps, I can share my resume.
