I’m a military spouse currently working in Arkansas, but I’ll be relocating to Texas next month due to my spouse’s new assignment. I won’t have a job lined up in Texas and I’m unsure about the unemployment process since I’ve never applied before. My main question is whether I should apply for unemployment in Arkansas or Texas, considering I’ll be moving soon and won’t have any job history in Texas. I’ve received mixed advice, with some suggesting I file in Arkansas since that’s where my wages were earned, while others recommend checking with both states for clarity. I really appreciate any guidance on how to navigate this situation.
