I just got laid off from my position, and while I understand that layoffs happen, I'm feeling really frustrated about how it went down. I was evaluated alongside another colleague who has been underperforming for the past year, and it seems like my manager submitted misleading reasons to justify my low score. They claimed I resisted an even workload, which is completely false. I have evidence to show that I had more work than my colleague, yet the higher-ups dismissed my claims. To make matters worse, I was criticized for testing a new tool that my manager specifically instructed me to try out. It feels like my manager set me up to fail, and I can't help but feel angry about the whole situation. Has anyone else experienced something similar?
