Today, I reached out to a sales director at a company I'm interested in. The catch is that he’s connected to my CEO and several coworkers, which makes me a bit nervous. I’m not sure if there are any job openings, but I thought it was worth a shot since it’s a sales role that could be a great fit for me. I’m wondering if anyone else has had similar experiences with cold messaging someone who has mutual connections with their current employer. I’m concerned about the potential risks, especially if my current employers find out about my outreach.
