I am currently searching for a new job and have faced several first-round rejections. In some of the rejection letters, the HR teams mentioned that they found my profile interesting and encouraged me to apply for similar positions in the future. I’m considering whether I should acknowledge this invitation in my motivation letter if I apply for a new role at the same company. On one hand, I feel that referencing my previous application could demonstrate my genuine interest in the company. However, I worry that mentioning the rejection might negatively influence the HR team's perception of my application, as they would be reminded that I was filtered out previously. I'm curious if others have experience with this—do you mention past applications in your motivation letters, or do you act as if it’s a fresh start?
