I've been reflecting on the challenges of breaking into the job market, especially as a new truck driver. At 25, I recently obtained my UAE Heavy Truck Driving License and was eager to start my career. However, during an interview last month, I faced a common hurdle: the company required drivers to have at least 5 years of experience. I asked them how I could gain that experience if no one is willing to hire beginners. I even offered to work for a lower salary for the first few months to prove my dedication and ability to learn quickly. It's frustrating to see so many companies demand extensive experience while offering low salaries, typically around AED 2,500–3,000. I've also applied for truck driving positions in other countries, but the response is always the same—"Experience required." I refuse to resort to creating fake experience documents, as I want to start my career with integrity. I'm reaching out to see if anyone knows of a company willing to take a chance on a new driver. I'm ready to work hard and show my commitment. Any advice, referrals, or support would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for taking the time to read my post!
