I recently got fired from my job as a pool technician in Texas, and I'm trying to navigate the unemployment process. I was let go last Tuesday after a couple of incidents that I believe were out of my control. My job involved driving a company truck to service pools at customers' homes. The first incident occurred when I was stopped at a red light, but I somehow rolled forward and rear-ended the car in front of me. I don't remember what happened, and I suspect I might have a medical issue causing me to blank out at times, although I have no known conditions or take any medication. After that incident, I received a final warning, but then I had another issue where I accidentally tapped a customer's fence while pulling into their driveway. There was no damage, and I intended to speak to the customer about it, but I was fired before I had the chance. The company claimed there was damage, but I have pictures showing there was none. Now, I'm unsure how to explain these incidents when filing for unemployment. Should I mention the potential medical issue, or just say I misjudged the distance? I feel like I need some guidance on how to approach this situation.
