    Feeling Got a Job Miscellaneous

    Today, I was supposed to have my orientation for a warehouse job at 2 PM. I arrived early at 1:56 PM, ready to start. After a brief wait, we all gathered in the lounge, and I was excited to begin the tour. We completed the tour, but afterward, I was pulled aside by a staff member. She informed me that I would need to come back next Friday for orientation again, but I wouldn't have to redo the tour since I had already done it. When I asked for a reason, she just shrugged and said, "I don’t know." This left me feeling confused and frustrated, especially since I had driven there and wasted gas for no clear reason. Gas prices are high, and I really didn’t appreciate being turned away like that.

    Feeling Miscellaneous

    I filed for unemployment benefits in New Jersey, but my claim got disqualified due to an overpayment balance of $149 from Georgia. I paid off the amount in the first week of June, and Georgia confirmed that I no longer owe anything. However, it's been almost 4 weeks now, and my New Jersey claim is still on hold. I haven't received any benefits, and it seems like the interstate issue hasn't been manually cleared yet. I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced this and how long it took for their claims to be resolved.
