  1. 1

I recently found myself unemployed and went through a challenging job search process. I was out of work for about four months. During that time, I sent out roughly 50 applications, which led to about 7 interviews. Initially, I was applying to any job that seemed remotely related to my skills, but halfway through, I decided to narrow my focus to positions that truly aligned with my career goals. This shift definitely helped, as I started getting more positive responses. When I finally received an offer, I was tempted to accept it right away due to financial pressures, but I took a step back and evaluated my options. Ultimately, I chose to hold out for a role that was a better fit for my skills and aspirations. I managed financially by relying on savings and cutting back on non-essential expenses. If anyone wants to discuss this further or share their experiences, I’d be happy to chat!
