I work at a factory that produces medical springs and wires, and I've been there for just over three months. I genuinely love my job; it's a significant upgrade from my previous customer service roles. The environment is more independent, allowing us to wear headphones and take breaks as needed. The company is growing and encourages employee referrals, so I recommended two friends from my old job, Sarah and my girlfriend, Brittney, who were eager to leave a toxic management situation. Sarah had a good first interview but was later rejected without much explanation. Brittney's experience was more promising; after her first interview, they invited her for a second interview and even gave her a tour of the departments, including the one I work in. She was led to believe she would be offered a position soon, so she put in her two weeks' notice at her current job. However, after a few days of waiting, she received an email stating they were moving forward with other candidates, leaving her without a job next week. I’m feeling anxious about this situation. I want to talk to someone in HR about it but am concerned about how it might affect my standing at the company. It feels personal since both my referrals were rejected, and I can't help but wonder if my connections are being flagged. I love this job and don’t want to jeopardize it, but Brittney was counting on this opportunity, and it feels like she was misled. Should I address this with HR or just let it go?
