I recently faced a significant career shift and I'm feeling a bit lost about my next steps. I'm a 21-year-old female with a background in Marketing and Sales. My work experience includes a retail position where I worked from December 2021 to April 2024. During my freshman year of college in 2023-2024, I secured a paid internship that lasted from May 2024 to January 2026, but I realized that I wasn't interested in continuing with that company full-time. After discussions, we mutually decided to end my internship. I then took a full-time salary position in events and registration for a small company from March 2026 to August 2026, but unfortunately, I got fired from that job. I also made the decision to drop out of school to focus on work, which I now realize may not have been the best choice. Now, I'm contemplating whether I should return to waitressing or retail while also considering going back to school. I could manage online classes while working full-time in a less demanding role, perhaps something like a front desk position. I'm looking for advice on potential career paths that would allow me to work Monday to Friday without the pressures of a full-time corporate salary position. I'm open to any suggestions or insights you might have.
