I've been struggling with my job search for the past five months and it's really taking a toll on me. I'm 21, still in college, and living with my mom and her boyfriend. You'd think I wouldn't be too stressed about finding a job, but the reality is that I need to help pay rent since my mom's income isn't enough, and we often have little left for groceries. I've gone through numerous interviews where I felt confident, and the interviewers even complimented my performance. Yet, I've been ghosted time and time again, leaving me feeling hopeless and exhausted. The anticipation of waiting for a callback is draining, and I've found myself sleeping more often just to escape the stress. It's embarrassing to admit, but I've ghosted three job interviews recently because I just couldn't muster the energy to show up. I know I need a job, but the burnout has made it hard to keep pushing forward. I hate feeling like the friend who can't contribute financially, and my family constantly asks when I'll finally land a job. The pressure is overwhelming, and I feel stuck at home, waiting for calls that never come.

I recently applied for a Customer Service Representative position at CEFCU and had to go through an exhausting assessment process. I just finished question 33 out of 100 in one of the assessments, but that was just one of six different tests I had to complete. Each assessment had between 50 to over 100 questions, and I spent at least an hour on all of them combined. I'm really frustrated because it feels like such a waste of time. I can't help but wonder if there's even a right answer to some of these questions. For instance, if I choose 'put out forest fires' over 'enter information into a database,' will that hurt my chances? It's infuriating that companies require us to jump through so many hoops to prove our competence instead of just inviting us for an interview.

I recently applied for an Administrative Assistant position at a small company with about 9 employees, but I overlooked a key requirement in the job description: an associate's degree. I have been working towards my degree and am set to graduate in about 5 months, but I haven't completed it yet. I have an interview scheduled for Tuesday, and I want to be honest about my situation. I'm considering whether I should email them to clarify the misunderstanding or just address it directly during the interview. I really don't want to come off as unqualified or mislead them, but I also want to make a good impression. I'm leaning towards attending the interview and being upfront about my degree status if it comes up.
