I recently started working as a marketing assistant at a manufacturing company, but I just found out that the company has been bought out. I'm feeling anxious about the potential for layoffs since mergers often lead to job cuts, especially in roles that might be redundant. I've heard from others that management positions are usually the first to go, but I can't help but worry about my own job security in marketing.
