I've been feeling really stressed about a job offer I received. I'm 29 and have been working at my current warehouse job in Georgia for almost 7 years, making $26.75 an hour. I drive a forklift and work from 6am to 2:30pm. Recently, I've been wanting to learn more and grow in my career, but I've hesitated in the past when opportunities arose. I panicked and declined a couple of offers, including an office job and a truck loading position, and I regret those decisions deeply. Now, I've been offered a new hybrid job that would have me working from 6pm to 2:30am Monday through Thursday and 2:30pm to 11pm on Fridays. This role involves training new hires and occasionally doing some office work, which could help me move up to a supervisor position in the future. However, I'm really torn about the hours. I’d have to adjust my sleep schedule, and I worry about how that would affect my overall well-being. The pay increase is minimal—just $1 plus my annual raise—but I know this position could lead to better opportunities in the long run. I’m also concerned about working overtime since I already do a lot of that in my current role. I have ADD, which makes decision-making even more challenging for me, and I'm feeling overwhelmed trying to figure out what to do. I could really use some advice on whether I should take this leap or stick with what I know.
