    Applied to a Job Feeling Thinking

    Today, I took a chance and applied for a job that I feel is a bit of a long shot. I believe I meet about 70% of the qualifications, but I'm not getting my hopes up too high. The position is within my current company, which gives me a slight edge as an internal candidate. I'm curious if anyone else has had success in similar situations where they felt underqualified but still managed to land an interview or even the job. Fingers crossed for a call!

I've only applied to this one job so far, and I'm curious if three weeks is a normal wait time or if I should be concerned. I've seen mixed experiences from others, with some saying three weeks is not unusual, while others mentioned that if you haven't heard back by then, it might not be a good sign. I'm in the US, so I'm hoping to get some clarity on what to expect.
