I’m a 26-year-old female who has been job searching on and off for nearly two years. I recently quit my part-time job to move states, and now I’m diving back into the job market full-time. However, I’m incredibly frustrated with the process. No matter where I apply or how carefully I tailor my applications, I notice a significant increase in spam targeting me every time I submit an application online. I’m receiving unsolicited messages through email, phone calls, and even physical mail. It feels like my personal information is being sold off to scammers, making the entire experience even more disheartening. I’ve faced multiple rejections and ghosting, even after going through interviews and tests. It’s exhausting trying to do the right thing in such a tough job market, and I’m starting to think that the advice to just walk in and hand over my resume might be the way to go. I just needed to vent about how frustrating this whole situation has become.
