I recently learned that my company, where I've been working as a bookkeeper for the past 8 years, will be closing down. Our lease is expiring next year, and the partners are retiring without plans to sell the business. At 59 years old, I'm not ready to retire, but I'm feeling uncertain about my job prospects.
