  1. 1

I am a 28-year-old from Hyderabad, holding an MBA from IIM Visakhapatnam, and currently unemployed while searching for job opportunities. I graduated in 2025 and have a B.Com in Computer Applications, but my work experience is limited to an HR internship. As a person with profound deafness (90+ dB hearing loss), I have faced significant challenges in securing employment. I cleared both Phase 1 and Phase 2 of the RBI Grade B exam and was preparing for the interview, but unfortunately, my candidature was withdrawn due to my hearing loss. It seems the eligibility criteria favored candidates with less severe hearing impairments, which has left me uncertain about my eligibility for other government positions. I also came close to landing an internship at Pfizer, which could have led to a full-time role, but they decided against it after learning about my disability, citing a lack of guidelines for candidates with disabilities. It's incredibly frustrating to have worked hard only to lose opportunities because of my condition. I am open to entry-level roles in HR, operations, research, analytics, or any suitable positions. I am proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and basic data analysis. If anyone has experienced something similar or has advice, job leads, or referrals, particularly from companies that are inclusive of hiring deaf candidates, I would greatly appreciate your help. Thank you for taking the time to read my post.
