pet food company · marketing manager

I recently completed my first interview for a marketing manager position at a pet food company, and I'm feeling both excited and nervous about the upcoming second interview later this week. My background as a pet dietitian really impressed the hiring manager, which I think helped me get this far. To prepare, I decided to create a strategy deck with marketing ideas tailored to their brand, which specializes in raw dog food. I also mocked up a specific social media post aimed at their target demographic. Although they didn't ask for this additional work, I wanted to demonstrate my enthusiasm and commitment to the role. I'm hoping that bringing this extra effort to the interview will set me apart from other candidates. I really want this job—not only for the opportunity but also because it offers a salary that would allow me to thrive, plus the perk of free food for my dog! I'm curious if others think this approach will help me stand out during the interview.
