I live in Montreal but have been considering moving to Toronto since I have a few friends there. I'm curious about the tech market in Toronto and whether it would be worth the move. I have a background in Java, Spring Boot, Python, React, backend development, and some experience with cloud and AI/ML projects. I'm wondering if there are significantly more entry-level opportunities in Toronto compared to Montreal. Additionally, I'm interested in long-term career growth prospects in software engineering in Toronto. Does living there already give applicants an edge? I know the salaries are higher, but is it enough to offset the cost of living? Lastly, should I secure a job before making the move, or is it feasible to relocate first?
