I was in the final stages of interviewing for a role at Bloomberg, having completed four out of five rounds. The interviews included a hiring manager interview, a technical interview, a problem-solving interview, and another senior manager interview today. The last interviewer seemed engaged and even confirmed that my next interview was scheduled for tomorrow, providing me with the name of the person I would meet. I left feeling optimistic about the process. However, just eight minutes after the interview ended, I received an email from recruiting stating that my interview was being postponed due to 'process changes' and that the process was 'still under review.' They mentioned that my recruiter would reach out once they had an update. This has left me feeling confused and anxious. The interviewer had seemed certain that the interview was happening, and the job is still listed on Bloomberg's website. I’ve reached out to my recruiter for clarification but haven’t heard back yet. I'm curious if anyone else has experienced something similar at Bloomberg or another large company. Was it just a scheduling issue, a hiring freeze, or a sign they were still considering other candidates? I’m trying not to overthink it, but the timing of the confirmation and the subsequent email has really thrown me off.
