I recently went through a grueling 5-hour panel interview process for a position I was excited about. The interviews were intense, with no breaks in between, and I really felt like I was showcasing my skills and experience effectively. However, at the end of it all, I was offered a bait-and-switch deal for an hourly job that was not what I had anticipated. It was disheartening to invest so much time and energy only to be presented with an offer that felt like a letdown.
