I recently applied for a pilot position at Pilot Flying J, which is about 25 miles from my location. A couple of years ago, I had applied for a similar role and had a good experience with another major carrier, where I gained over 5 years of experience, including oilfield work. Back then, I was informed that I would be considered for the job once a specific issue on my driving record cleared up. I ended up taking a job with a large convenience store hauling fuel, even though I wasn't happy with it, because I didn't want to leave them in bad faith. However, when Pilot called me in December with an offer, I felt stuck. I recently lost my job with the convenience store and saw the pilot position open up right away. I applied immediately and got through the initial screening, then filled out the application. I received a message indicating that I passed the ATS, so I'm hopeful I will get a call soon. I'm curious if anyone has insights on what to expect next in this process.
