I’ve been feeling really lost in my career lately. After finishing high school with decent grades, I went on to college for two years, but my motivation has just plummeted since then. Currently, I’m in an apprenticeship for electrical maintenance, where I split my time between college and work. It sounds manageable, but I dread going to both places. Everyone at work is so social and engaging, while I struggle to even make small talk. At college, I find myself completely uninterested in the coursework, which is mostly just basic hand tools and writing project reports. The thought of the tests and more studying in the coming years is overwhelming. I just want a job that allows me to earn a decent living without the stress of social interactions or heavy responsibilities. If anyone has suggestions for low-key jobs that fit this description, I’d really appreciate it.
