  1. 1

I graduated with my bachelor's degree in late 2021 and started my career working in fast food for about six months while I searched for a more relevant job. Eventually, I landed a position at a local nonprofit that pays $15 an hour, which was somewhat related to my field of study. I thought this would be a stepping stone to gain experience and then move on to a better-paying job within a year or two. However, more than four years have passed, and I'm still stuck in this entry-level role. I've been actively trying to find a new job for over two years now, but I haven't had any luck. Even positions that I know I'm overqualified for don't seem to want to call me back. It feels like I'm going to be trapped in this low-paying entry-level position forever. I wonder if anyone else is experiencing the same frustration.
