I applied for the Service Island Attendant (Bus Cleaner/Fueler) position at GoLynx, a transit company based in Orlando, Florida, on July 24, 2026. This opportunity caught my eye after I moved to Florida from New York. Shortly after submitting my application, I received a call from GoLynx HR inquiring if I had my Florida CDL-B with Passenger Endorsement, which I confirmed. They mentioned they were starting interviews soon, likely due to my 22 years of bus-driving experience with MTA New York City Transit Authority. However, after that initial excitement, I didn’t hear back for a few weeks. I reached out via email in mid-August for an update, but they informed me there was no news at that time. I kept checking the GoLynx career portal, where my application still showed a green check mark indicating I had applied. Today, on September 12, 2026, I logged in to find that the Service Island Attendant position is no longer listed. The posting has been completely removed, and the portal doesn’t allow me to view the status of my application. I also sent another follow-up email last week, but I haven’t received a response yet. I’m curious if anyone familiar with GoLynx’s hiring process can shed light on what it means when a position disappears from the portal. Does this usually indicate that the application deadline has closed and they are moving forward with interviews, or could it just mean they are reviewing applications? I’m still very interested in this position and trying to understand the implications of this change.
