I recently resigned from my position as an accounts receivable specialist after thirteen years with the same company. They hired me right out of high school, and it’s been my only job since then. Unfortunately, due to a decline in my mental and physical health, they could no longer accommodate my needs, which led to my resignation. Now, I’m looking for new opportunities. I live in a rural area of Iowa where office jobs are scarce, and due to severe arthritis and nerve damage in my lower spine, I can only stand for short periods of 5-10 minutes. I'm hoping to find retail or other jobs that allow for a more sedentary role or involve short bursts of movement. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
