I recently experienced a frustrating situation at Mercedes-Benz Research and Development India (MBRDI) where they let go of Graduate Engineer Trainees (GETs) after two years of service, but are calling it a "non-conversion" rather than a layoff. It feels disheartening to see the company use this language to avoid accountability. These GETs have been integral to various projects and have contributed significantly during their time, yet the management seems to be downplaying their contributions. It’s disappointing to witness such a lack of respect for the hard work and dedication these young engineers have shown.
