Today, I had a challenging experience at work that has led me to seek an internal lateral move. After trying to provide feedback to my boss about some inefficiencies in our team's processes, I had a negative interaction that left me feeling frustrated and demoralized. This prompted me to apply for another position within the company. I met with HR about the new role today, but now I'm facing the daunting task of interviewing with several people, and I’m starting to feel cold feet about the whole process. Currently, I hold a leadership position, and the new role would not offer the same opportunities for leadership, which makes me question if I'm making the right decision. It feels like I might be giving up something valuable. Additionally, I'm really nervous about informing my boss that I've applied for this new position, which adds to my feelings of uncertainty. Overall, I feel quite lost in this situation.
