I recently joined Capital One about seven months ago and initially received a Strong rating during my mid-year review. However, I had a performance check meeting with my manager and their manager, where they brought up some errors and missed preparation expectations from the last few months. I'm taking their feedback seriously and am actively working on preparing my tasks earlier and improving my accuracy. They didn't explicitly mention that I was on a Performance Improvement Plan (PIP), but with the year-end calibration approaching, I'm feeling anxious about how much time I have left to show improvement. I'm wondering if anyone else has faced a similar situation and how they clarified whether it was just coaching or if it indicated a formal performance concern. Also, would it be wise to start preparing for other interviews while I work on improving my performance?
