I've been working as a manager in an entry-level position in the wellness field for about 11 months now. Overall, I like my job; the people are kind and the work is manageable. However, I'm starting to feel like I'm meant for more. The pay is underwhelming, and the role keeps me tied to a desk, making it hard to take time off. I often find myself working weekends, which adds to the stress. Recently, I applied for a job at a local wealth management company and have an interview scheduled for tomorrow. This new position offers better pay and less responsibility outside of work, but I worry that I might not be happy in it. It would be a good stepping stone for my resume, especially if I decide to pursue grad school in finance or business. I'm torn about whether to go to the interview. I have to fit it into my lunch break, which complicates things since I need someone to cover for me. I want my current job experience to count for something, so I’d prefer to stay for at least a year. Plus, the thought of ending up in a job I dislike is daunting. The new role would only increase my salary by about $10,000 a year. I’m currently living with my parents, debt-free, and I’m trying to figure out if I’m being complacent or if I should take the leap. If I decide not to go to the interview, I plan to leave a polite voicemail to let them know. I'm feeling a bit lost about this whole situation.
