I recently had a phone interview for a videographer position with a fitness company that really aligns with my career goals. The role involves shooting and editing videos, producing podcasts, and collaborating with the marketing team. I currently work full-time in a creative role where I produce photo and video content and also run a freelance business. The interview lasted about 15-20 minutes and felt conversational. The recruiter mentioned she would get back to me quickly after passing my resume to the team, and that there would be two or three more meetings with a mid-August start date in mind. However, it’s been a few days now, and I haven't heard anything. I’m starting to worry if they’ve found someone else or if I didn’t perform well in the interview. I even second-guessed myself over a small mistake I made regarding a YouTube creator I worked with, saying they had "1,000 subscribers" instead of "100,000." I’m wondering if that slip could impact my chances. I’m reaching out for some honest feedback. Does the recruiter’s timeline sound positive or just standard? Should I be concerned about the silence after a few days? When would be a good time to follow up? Any insights would be appreciated!
