    I’m currently in Virginia and trying to figure out if I can receive unemployment benefits while making about $100 a week delivering for Uber Eats. I’ve heard mixed opinions on this. Some people strongly advise against engaging in any 1099 gig work here, as it could disqualify me from receiving benefits due to being classified as self-employment. I’m not sure if I should proceed with my claim or not. I’m out of work and just trying to make some money in the meantime, but I am actively looking for a full-time job. I’ve been told that unemployment is meant for those who are completely out of work and seeking full-time employment, so I’m a bit confused about my eligibility. I’m planning to apply but want to be honest throughout the process to see what they say.

This action was flagged as a security violation, which added stress to an already difficult situation. Now, I'm contemplating whether to include this job on my resume. I have two years of experience that directly relates to my degree, and I feel it would be valuable to potential employers. However, I'm concerned about how this might reflect on my record, especially if a future employer asks about my departure or wants to contact my previous employer for a reference. Should I avoid using anyone from this job as a reference? I'm looking for advice on how to navigate this situation.
