Today, I received a written warning from HR during a call with my manager. It took me by surprise because I didn't expect my manager, who has been quite distant, to escalate issues to HR without discussing them with me first. The warning cited 'quality of work' and 'not responding in a timely manner' as the main concerns. I feel like this is an unfair move, especially since my manager often throws unorganized tasks my way and then gets frustrated when deadlines approach. This situation has left me feeling isolated and targeted at work, and I can't shake the feeling that they might be looking for an excuse to let me go. The memorandum outlines that I need to check in with my manager regularly and inform him if I'm more than 30 minutes away from my desk. Additionally, I'm expected to respond to messages within an hour. This level of micromanagement feels overwhelming and unnecessary. I'm unsure how to navigate this situation moving forward.
