I was laid off from my job in New York a few weeks ago, and just three weeks after my layoff, my old employer offered me a different position. However, I had already accepted another job that starts within the week. Now I'm wondering about my pay situation. Will I still get paid for the two out of the three weeks since I was laid off? Can I claim the last week before I start my new job? Also, if I start my new job next Monday, can I still claim for this week even though I turned down the offer from my former employer?
