I recently had a virtual interview for a small role, and I was asked a challenging question about managing multiple equally prioritized tasks under tight deadlines. The phrasing was tricky, and I honestly struggled to articulate my thoughts clearly. I ended up saying that I used to struggle with time management, but now I block my schedule to avoid such situations. I mentioned that if I ever faced a scenario where everything was equally prioritized, I would approach it by focusing on deadlines and priorities, which felt contradictory to the question. I shared a past experience from an event where not all supplies arrived on time. I communicated quickly with my team, emphasizing the importance of clear communication. However, I felt I was making it up as I went along, and I kept looking away from the camera, which made me nervous. Thankfully, the role was not highly demanding in terms of experience, but I wish I had been better prepared for that question.
