Applied at Extreme Networks for Staff Software Engineer

I was laid off from Extreme Networks in July after working there for about four years as a staff software engineer. Overall, I have around eleven years of experience in software development. I'm currently in between roles and actively interviewing. It's been tough dealing with the uncertainty of what comes next, as a layoff impacts more than just my paycheck. It affects my family, with my spouse and four kids relying on me. We're spending less, which in turn means we're contributing less to our local economy and taxes. It feels like companies don't fully grasp the broader impact of layoffs on families and communities. I'm curious if anyone else who was laid off in the summer is still searching for a job or if you've managed to find something.
