    Today was a surreal experience at my job. I recently learned that our company is closing our site, and I had previously shared about a group photo they wanted to take before the layoffs. Well, the situation escalated. The executives are throwing a party at our site to celebrate the opening of a new location that's 300 miles away. It feels incredibly insensitive, especially since many of us are losing our jobs while they celebrate a relocation that feels more like a mass layoff than a simple move. The fact that they think it's appropriate to come here and party while we are facing unemployment is just infuriating. I can't believe they think we're going to welcome them with open arms during such a tough time.

    Today, I received an Outlook invite for a group photo in front of our office, which is about to shut down. Our team of around 400 people is facing layoffs or the option to relocate 300 miles away if we want to keep our jobs. It feels surreal that they want to capture this moment for marketing purposes while we're all dealing with the stress of potential job loss. The comments from my colleagues reflect the frustration and disbelief; many are suggesting we should protest with our middle fingers up. It's disheartening to see how disconnected management is from the reality we're facing.
