I received a message from a local store about a cashier position I had applied for over a year ago. They reached out asking if I was still interested, which felt strange since I was their first applicant but they took so long to contact me. I confirmed my interest and asked for details like schedule and pay. They responded saying they were conducting a second interview with a group of candidates and asked when I could come in. I'm starting school in a month, and I'm worried about the timeline since I don't want to get stuck in another long hiring process. I’ve had bad experiences in the past with employers, so I’m feeling hesitant. I have the second interview scheduled for tomorrow at noon, and I'm considering whether to go or cancel based on advice from others. I plan to ask about the pay and how quickly they need someone to start to avoid wasting my time.
