I applied for a Data Entry position at a company that specializes in language courses. Today, I received an email outlining the next step in the application process, which involves recording a 5-minute intro video where I explain why I want to work there. This is supposed to happen before the actual Zoom interview. The job description emphasized the need for high attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions, which is reflected in the steps provided for the video. However, I find it a bit strange that a Data Entry role would require a video presentation. Given the current concerns around AI, I'm also feeling uneasy about this requirement. I'm curious to hear what others think about this process.
