I'm facing a tough situation as I've just received notice that my company will be laying off around 12 members from our department tomorrow. It's been a stressful time, especially after reading about the layoffs and hiring freezes in the Indian IT sector. I always hoped I wouldn't find myself in this position, but here I am. I haven't been informed yet if my name will be on the list, and I'm feeling anxious about it. I'm reaching out for advice on what to do if I am included in the layoffs. Specifically, I want to know: 1. What should I ask during the meeting about the layoff process? 2. What documents or items should I collect before leaving? I know I need my last six months of pay slips, but I'm unsure if there's anything else. 3. Any general advice from those who have been through this would be greatly appreciated. I truly hope my name isn't on that list and that my colleagues and I can all keep our jobs. But I understand that sometimes we have to accept what life throws at us. Thanks for any help!
