I’ve been reflecting on the recent layoffs at my company, where I was part of the product development team. It’s frustrating to see how quickly we can feel powerless when decisions are made above us. We’ve been working hard on projects that the company believes are crucial for revenue, yet here we are, facing uncertainty. To everyone who got laid off, I want to encourage you: don’t let this situation define your worth. I’m planning to share my journey and hope others do the same, especially when we land our next roles. For those who are still employed, it’s time to take action. Don’t wait for another layoff announcement to prepare. I’ve set myself a goal to apply for at least 100 jobs in the next 30 days. I realize that while the company can decide our job status, they don’t control our future. We need to take charge and build our own opportunities.
