I recently received an appointment letter after a long six-month job search, and I was overjoyed. I shared the news with my family and friends, feeling like I finally turned a corner. However, on my joining date, things took a disappointing turn. They had me go through a three-hour assessment interview, only to tell me afterward that they needed to review another candidate and I could go home. I was left feeling completely confused and frustrated. I can't believe they would do this after sending me an official appointment letter. It feels so messed up right now.
