Last week, I also interviewed with an aerospace company that focuses entirely on military work. They just tendered me an offer today, with a base pay of $145,000 and some appealing benefits, including the potential for a security clearance and international travel. However, I decided to stick with the telecommunications company because I want this to be my last engineering position, and I feel it aligns better with my family commitments. If the aerospace company had offered me last week, I might have gone with them instead. Now I'm left wondering if I should retract my acceptance of the telecommunications job and go with the aerospace position instead.
