I recently came across a job listing for a position at a local hospital in my neighborhood that was only open for about a week. It was posted on July 7th and closed on the 11th. I had never seen such a short application window before, and I was curious if that typically indicates they are leaning towards an internal hire. I applied anyway, but after doing some research, I found out that short application periods often suggest that. The listing had very basic qualifications and didn’t mention a salary, which added to my suspicion. Now I'm left wondering if I wasted my time applying. If anyone in recruiting or HR can shed some light on this, I would really appreciate it.
