After 14 years in the workforce, I recently faced a layoff and have been struggling to find a new job for over 4 months now. It's really starting to take a toll on my mental health. I've been applying to numerous positions, but the lack of responses has been disheartening. I realize I've made a few wrong career choices in the past, which might be affecting my current job search. Most of my applications seem to disappear into a void, and it’s exhausting. I'm reaching out to see if anyone else has experienced a similar situation later in their careers and what strategies helped them during that tough time.
