I recently graduated with my Early Childhood Education diploma and started applying for jobs in this understaffed field. I was thrilled to land an interview at a center that aligns perfectly with my values and teaching philosophy. The interview was initially scheduled for Monday, but I received a call just three hours before it was supposed to happen, informing me that the interviewer had to cover for a sick staff member, so we rescheduled for Wednesday. However, today I got another call two hours before the rescheduled interview, and they informed me that the interviewer is sick and won’t be available for the entire week. They promised to call me on Monday to reschedule again. I can't help but feel worried. Are they trying to brush me off? I really wanted this job, and now I’m uncertain about my chances. What adds to my anxiety is that the second call came from a different person, which makes me question the situation. On the bright side, the first call was from the interviewer herself, which makes me think she really is out sick. Has anyone else experienced something similar? I would appreciate any insights or advice on whether I should be concerned about this situation.
