I recently quit my job at a startup after they missed payroll twice, which was the final straw for me. I sent my resignation to my managers in the morning, making it effective immediately, and asked for instructions on returning company equipment and when I could expect my last paycheck. Shortly after, they reached out asking for a Zoom meeting, but I didn't respond right away since I was already shut out of the systems. They followed up through my personal email, wanting to discuss things over the phone or Zoom. I'm hesitant to engage in a conversation like that, as I prefer to have everything documented in writing. I’m considering responding to let them know I’m open to communicating via email instead. I just want to ensure I handle this professionally without being adversarial, especially since the company seems to be on the verge of failure.
