I’m preparing to apply for my first job at a few local food places. I’ve submitted my applications online, but I’m unsure about how to follow up in person. I’ve heard that going in and asking if they’re hiring can be beneficial, but I’m not sure how to approach it. Should I just walk in and ask outright? I want to make sure I come across as relaxed and confident. I’m considering acting like a customer first, maybe ordering something, and then bringing up my application. I really want to make a good impression and stand out, so I’m planning to bring a copy of my resume with me. Any tips on how to start and end the conversation would be greatly appreciated!
